At Abilities Preschool, we believe young children learn best when they’re actively engaged in the world around them.
Our preschool programs combine play-based early childhood education with movement, sensory exploration, music, art, STEM activities, imaginative play and hands-on learning. Programs are thoughtfully designed to support different learning styles while helping children develop confidence, independence, communication and a natural love of learning.

More Than a Classroom
Our programs are designed with expertise in Early Childhood Education, Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology. Having educators and pediatric professionals within the Abilities environment gives our team a unique understanding of child development and the many different ways young children learn and grow.
Our preschool follows The Creative Curriculum® and enriches classroom learning through specialized instruction. Our occupational therapist teaches the Handwriting Without Tears® program, while a dedicated teacher introduces children to Spanish through engaging, age-appropriate lessons.
Sensory integration activities are thoughtfully incorporated into our preschool day to help children process sensory information, regulate their bodies, and feel ready to learn. Through movement, touch, and hands-on play, children build confidence, coordination, focus, and independence.

Toga Tykes is a drop-off enrichment program designed to introduce younger children to learning through play, movement and exploration.
Children build independence and self-confidence while enjoying free-choice learning centers, imaginative play, music, arts and crafts, science, manipulatives and interactive physical play in our sensory-motor gym.
A thoughtfully planned routine provides a comfortable balance between active and quiet activities while giving children opportunities to explore, socialize and grow.
Age Requirement: Children must be 2 years old by December 1.

Preschool Program

Our Preschool Program for 3- and 4-year-olds provides a fun, engaging stepping stone toward the school environment.
Traditional early learning concepts are incorporated naturally through play and hands-on experiences designed to support cognitive, language, social-emotional and physical development.
Children engage in peer interaction, learning centers, music and movement, imaginative play, STEM activities and sensory-motor experiences. Developmentally appropriate multisensory handwriting activities are also incorporated into the program.
Most importantly, children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, try new things and develop the confidence and independence they’ll carry with them into kindergarten and beyond.
Age Requirement: Children must be 3 years old by December 1.
