EI Developmental Play Groups

Our Developmental Play Groups provide a fun, engaging, and supportive environment where children ages 18 months to 3 years can learn, grow, and connect with others through play.

Designed for children enrolled in New York State’s Early Intervention Program with a current IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan), our groups are led by licensed Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Special Education Teachers who create developmentally appropriate activities that support each child’s individual goals.

Using a sensory-motor approach, children participate in hands-on experiences that promote growth across all areas of development, including:

  • Communication and language skills
  • Social-emotional development
  • Cognitive and early learning skills
  • Fine and gross motor development
  • Adaptive and daily living skills
  • Peer interaction and socialization

Each class session incorporates a variety of engaging activities such as imaginative play, sensory exploration, arts and crafts, music and movement, books, puzzles, gross motor play in our sensory gym, and outdoor play on our fenced playground. Children also have opportunities to practice sharing, turn-taking, following routines, and interacting with peers in a supportive group setting.

With a low student-to-teacher ratio and a therapeutic, play-based environment, our Developmental Play Groups help children build confidence, develop new skills, and prepare for success in future learning and social experiences.

Individual Therapy Sessions

We offer one-on-one speech language pathology, occupational therapy and physical therapy in a specialized sensory gym environment or private treatment areas. We provide services to children who are experiencing developmental difficulties. Some commonly seen conditions are are Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, developmental delays and muscle tone abnormalities. We offer specialized programs such as handwriting remediation, “handwriting without tears program”, therapeutic listening, and interactive metronome.

Speech Therapy

Our Speech-Language Pathologists help children develop the communication skills needed to connect, learn, and grow. Through individualized, play-based therapy, we support children in building confidence and success in their everyday interactions.

Our Speech-Language Pathologists help children with:

  • Speech sound production and articulation
  • Understanding and using language
  • Social communication skills
  • Fluency and stuttering
  • Feeding and swallowing challenges
  • Oral-motor development
  • Early literacy and pre-reading skills
  • Communication challenges related to developmental or medical conditions

By working closely with families and caregivers, our therapists help children strengthen their ability to communicate, express themselves, and engage more fully in the world around them.

Using our specialized sensory gym and engaging therapeutic activities, we help children strengthen the skills needed to learn, play, and thrive.

Sensory Integration Therapy

Sensory integration is how children take in and respond to information from their senses such as touch, movement, sound, and sight. Through fun, hands-on activities, we help children feel comfortable in their environment, regulate their bodies and emotions, and stay ready to play, learn, and connect with others.

Physical Therapy

Our Physical Therapists help children develop the strength, balance, coordination, and movement skills needed to explore their world with confidence.

Through individualized evaluations and fun, movement-based activities, our therapists help children improve their ability to participate in daily routines, play, and developmental milestones.

Our Physical Therapists help children with:

  • Gross motor development
  • Balance and coordination
  • Strength and endurance
  • Walking, running, jumping, and climbing
  • Posture and body awareness
  • Mobility and movement skills
